High Frequency Press Book Launch Party at the fabulous KBG Bar Red Room in Manhattan! Come celebrate the Spring Catalogue. Shanna McNair is reading from her novel, “Soul Retrieval” alongside Scott Wolven and other HFP authors.
SOUL RETRIEVAL: A solo art show opening and reading at University of Maine at Farmington’s UMF Art Gallery, September 18, 2025 from 5-7pm (Art show will be up from 9/18-10/31, 2025)
Shanna McNair’s debut novel “Soul Retrieval” is a postmodern re-imagining of Kahlil Gibran’s “The Prophet”. The novel includes 16 original art pieces by McNair, which will be displayed at University of Maine at The Emory Center Gallery, along with other new pieces. Prints of the artwork and the black and white hardcover and full-cover edition of “Soul Retrieval” will be for sale. MORE ABOUT “SOUL RETREIVAL”
McNair returns to her alma mater to read from her novel and display art—at the same spot where studied both Art and Creative Writing for her dual bachelor’s degree.
The art show opening runs 5-7pm with a reading by Shanna McNair at 6pm in The Emory Center Auditorium. The art show will be up at the gallery from 9/18-10/31, 2025.
The Soul Retrieval afterparty: 7:30-10 PM at the fab farm-to-table eatery, Root Down Market in New Sharon! Drinks and apps are on the house.
Delta Writers in Jonesboro, Arkansas
The Lounge at Huntington Square in downtown Jonesboro, AR. A special Delta Writers event hosted by Scott McDaniel. Shanna McNair and Scott Wolven are featured fiction writers alongside McDaniel, a poet.
